Where to Research Markets

The resources we actually use: charting, derivatives, on-chain, macro and protocol fundamentals.

The list of resources we use for analysis.

Charting and analysis

  • TradingView — the primary platform. Charts, structure, levels.

Liquidations and derivatives

  • Coinglass — liquidations, funding, open interest, heatmaps.
  • Hyblock Capital — liquidation maps. More precise than most alternatives.
  • Velo Data — derivatives and capital flow between exchanges.

On-chain

  • Glassnode — exchange flows, holder behaviour, SOPR, active addresses.
  • CryptoQuant — exchange inflows, miner data, stablecoin flows.
  • Nansen — tracking large wallets and smart money in real time.
  • Arkham Intelligence — wallet identification and capital movement.
  • Dune Analytics — custom on-chain queries, for going deeper.

Macro

  • FRED — M2, rates, Federal Reserve data. The primary source.
  • MacroMicro — macro data visualised. Faster than FRED for a quick read.

On cost

Most of this is free or has a free tier. A paid Glassnode plan covers roughly 80% of on-chain needs.

Tools do not replace a method. Start with a question, pick the smallest set of data that can answer it, and decide in advance what would disprove the conclusion.
